control truck & buggy racing club is now forming. This one is for real.

the gun range and go-kart track, and has 30 paid members.
Proposed Rules-
Rules and
Regulations governing Track and races.
Track Rules:
The following rules will be strictly enforced!
The purpose of
this set of rules is to establish a consistent basic for the racing of R.
C. Electric Cars/trucks and Gas Cars/trucks.
This is
important to drivers and race promoters to insure that the races will be
ran fairly and on an equal basis and that those with less experience or
technical knowledge will feel comfortable in their respective racing
classes.
Off road: Off
road class heats and mains laps to be decided by club members.
Stock class
electric: Cars and trucks will be separated if there is enough for each
class.
Stock class is
a car or truck run in stock configuration—out of the box.
1.
Motors:
if motors are changed they may be replaced with a stock 27 turn, 22 gauge
wire, bushing motor.
2.
Batteries: 1 six cell sub “C” maximum.
3.
.Tires
and Wheels: 2” or 2.2 rim. No metal spikes, no paddle tires. No other
restrictions apply.
4.
Speed Control: No limit.
5.
Suspension: No limit.
6.
Wings and air dams: Must not exceed 2 1/2 “ off rear of car outward, must
not exceed the width of tires.
7.
Bodies: may be changes. Must be securely attacked to frame,. Cannot scrape
the track.
8.
Chassis: May be changed or modified. No sharp protruding objects.
9.
You may run bearings and change gears.
Modified Class Electric: Any changes, any
speed control, battery, motor. This is an unlimited class based on the
more experienced drivers.
Gas Class: Rules are same as the electric
classes Turn marshals must be 18 years old as the cars are more dangerous
to handle. Stock class is out of the box. Motors may be changed as long as
they are equal to stock. Modified is unlimited. 1/10 and 1/8 scale will be
in separate classes.
There must be at least 5 drivers signed in
for your class before there will be a race.
It is the Decision of the track director as
to who gets bumped up or down. If you have any problems or complaints, or
suggestions you must take them to your track director.
Protest Procedures: If any driver or
drivers think that something was wrong (a legitimate complaint only) with
their race they should go to the track director.
There will be no break in between races or
heats. If not up on the stand when the bell goes off, the race will be
started and that driver or drivers will join the race in progress. The
same goes for turn marshals, when you finish with your race, you must turn
off your car and controller (controller must have your name of car number
on it, so drivers and yourself will know whose it is.) and get back on the
turns. If not on turns before race starts you will not race your next race
and if you do not turn marshal after your main event you will lose any
awards you received for that race plus you will not race your first race
the next time you race. No cell phones while turn marshaling or driving.
If need be the drivers will be asked to
help lap count.
Practice: practice will be at allotted
times. The public is welcome to practice if a member is monitoring the
facilities. There will be no foul, profane, abusive language allowed. No
drugs or alcohol will be allowed on the premises. All times for races and
